Creamy, versatile and delicious!
Vanilla buttercream icing is a staple topping for cupcakes and delicious to boot. It is extremely simple to make and will go well on any type of cupcake but matches especially well with the basic vanilla or lemon flavoured cupcakes. The recipe works well for most types of icing so why not try experimenting with different flavours? You could exchange the vanilla flavouring for lemon, orange or anything that takes your fancy. Licking the spoon afterwards is essential, just make sure you have decorated your cupcakes first!
